Seth’s Story

Our son Seth Zachariah Murphy was born on the 6th June 2013 at a private hospital in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Due to the malpractice of the delivery doctor, Seth was pulled by his neck with such force he has a life long disability by the name Erb’s Palsy. This is a birth injury, and not a birth defect. His arm is paralysed and although he has has undergone a nerve graft surgery as to take nerves from his legs as to fix where his brachial plexus nerves were severed, this was done in order to give him the best possible chance of movement, and when it does his come over the next two years, it will be slow and limited. About Erb’s Palsy

About Erb’s Palsy Erb’s Palsy also known as Brachial Plexus Paralysis is a condition which is mainly due to birth trauma, and can affect 1 or all of the 5 primary nerves that supply the movement and feeling to an arm. Each baby’s injury is individual. The paralysis can be partial or complete; the damage to each nerve can range from bruising to tearing. Some babies recover on their own however some may require specialist intervention. Early Intervention is crucial in order to ascertain the full extent of damage caused. There are tests, which can be carried out that show which nerve/s are damaged. Treatment in the first year of life can have a significant impact on recovery. However, if there is no progress or you are worried, you might want to ask your doctor or paediatrician to refer your child to a specialist within the field of Erb’s Palsy. Our Family

We are the Murphy Family. Consisting of myself, Justine / Mummy (33) from London, and my British born husband Paul / Daddy from Devon (29) and of course our beautiful son Seth. We met and fell in love while working on Super Yachts in Palma de Mallorca, Spain back in 2008. We fell in love both with each other and the beautiful Balearic island and knew that it was where we wanted to settle down and build our lives and family. If you haven’t been before, there is something very magical here and we felt very drawn to the island as to make it our home. We worked for many years on the yachts, Paul as Captain on smaller vessels and First Mate on large yachts, and myself as Chef. Paul still continues to work in the industry but also has a large hand our family business, which I had the vision to build and grow as to come off of the yachts myself. Our business, mymuybueno ® is a brand developed purely on what I know and love , people and food; and reflects my own experiences to date.  We have three different […]
